QIC Eastland Office Development

A two level commercial office building located above Eastland Shopping Centre, delivering a contemporary civic workplace for Maroondah City Council chambers and offices. Designed by Peddle Thorp for QIC, the integrated fitout provides a bright and expansive environment, featuring a central atrium, internal stairs and a distinctive façade of aluminium timber look vertical fins over bronze glazing.

A key urban design outcome is the project’s integration within the broader Eastland precinct, activating the metropolitan activity centre through increased density, connectivity and mixed use layering. Direct links to retail, public transport and parking strengthen accessibility and reinforce Ringwood as a civic and commercial hub. Strong sustainability ambitions were realised, achieving a 5 Star Green Star rating and a 4.5 Star NABERS rating, alongside innovative water efficiency initiatives that significantly reduce consumption.
