Surf 'n' Play Aquatic Park

Dingley Village, VIC

Surf ’n’ Play Aquatic Park has been positioned as a major regional leisure and tourism destination for Melbourne’s south east, combining surf technology, water park attractions and hospitality to create what has been described as one of the largest surf and aquatic parks in the Southern Hemisphere.

This attraction in Dingley Village is a landmark leisure destination designed to bring together surfing, aquatic recreation and hospitality within a dynamic year round facility.

The project spans approximately 12,727 m² anchored by a dramatic architectural roof form integrated with +2,000m² of solar panels. The development accommodates extensive indoor and outdoor aquatic attractions alongside an array of food and beverage space and over 700 onsite car parks, creating a major regional recreation and tourism destination.

At the heart of the outdoor experience is a large surf lagoon capable of generating waves up to 1.8 metres, designed to cater for surfers of all abilities through dedicated beginner, intermediate and advanced zones. Surrounding the lagoon are a range of family focused attractions including high thrill body and raft slides, a meandering lazy river, leisure pools, splash zones and interactive water play structures. Landscaped terraces, sunbathing areas and spectator zones frame the lagoon, creating a vibrant beach style environment complemented by outdoor dining venues and food kiosks that activate the waterfront setting.

Internally, the facility provides a diverse mix of year round aquatic and wellness experiences. Indoor leisure pools, family play zones and water attractions are supported by wellness and relaxation pools, modern change facilities and generous visitor amenities. A series of food and beverage outlets, retail spaces linked to surf and aquatic recreation, and flexible event and function areas overlooking the water environments transform Surf ’n’ Play into more than an aquatic centre. The project is conceived as a contemporary recreation hub that blends sport, leisure and hospitality while delivering a memorable destination for the wider community.
