Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre

Designed by Peddle Thorp Architects, the Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre is a landmark regional facility supporting competition, training, recreation, rehabilitation and community wellbeing. The centre includes an eight lane 50 metre competition pool with 500 spectator seats, a 25 metre outdoor pool, warm water and learn to swim pools, indoor water play, waterslides, gymnasium, wellness facilities, café and flexible community spaces.
A defining feature is its deep bore geothermal heating system, the first of its kind within a Victorian public aquatic facility. Drawing heat from an aquifer more than 600 metres below the site, the system significantly reduces energy costs and carbon emissions while supporting reliable year round operation.
