The Delhi University Rugby Stadium, located on the North Campus of Delhi University, was developed as one of the key venues for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Originally built to host the Rugby Sevens competition, the facility has since become a valuable sporting asset for both university students and the wider community.
The stadium features a seating capacity of approximately 10,000, modern player and official facilities, and a high-quality playing surface designed to international standards. Supporting infrastructure includes changing rooms, training areas, media and broadcast amenities, and spectator services that meet the requirements of large-scale international competitions.
Post-Games, the venue has been adapted to serve as a multi-purpose facility, supporting rugby, athletics training, community sport, and university-level events. Its legacy lies in promoting rugby in India while also providing a well-designed and accessible hub for recreation, fitness, and student engagement.
