Peddle Thorp Leads Devonport Oval Transformation
The new Devonport Oval Sports Complex will set a new benchmark for multi-sport and community integration in regional Australia.
Peddle Thorp Architects is proud to be leading the design of the new Devonport Oval Sports Complex, a major community-focused sports hub in Tasmania. Currently working closely with council and stakeholders to refine the preferred design, the project will transform the iconic Devonport Oval site into a dynamic, master planned precinct, seamlessly integrating multi-sport facilities and community uses in an unprecedented way.
The redevelopment will deliver a community multipurpose sports hall and dedicated show court and events centre. Complementing the indoor facilities will be new outdoor netball courts, high-performance indoor cricket and athlete training areas, as well as modern clubrooms, social spaces and administration facilities. The precinct will also feature new landscaped connections linking Devonport Oval to Byard Park, creating a seamless and inclusive environment for sport and recreation.
