Hawthorn Football Club Kennedy Community Centre Shortlisted for The Urban Developer Awards 2026: A New Milestone in Our Vision for Integrated Social Infrastructure

We are incredibly proud to see our design recognised on a national stage. This nomination reflects our dedication to creating spaces where elite sporting excellence meets community heart, proving that high-performance architecture can serve everyone who interacts with it.

Peddle Thorp Architects is proud to announce that the Hawthorn Football Club Kennedy Community Centre has been shortlisted for The Urban Developer Awards 2026 in the Social Infrastructure category.

This project sets a new benchmark for integrated design, where elite sport is intrinsically linked with community health and wellbeing. By colocating world class training environments with inclusive, publicly accessible spaces, the centre creates a powerful ecosystem that supports both peak athletic performance and everyday community use.

At its core, the facility delivers premier high performance infrastructure for the Hawthorn Football Club AFLW team, including dedicated training and match environments that promote equity and excellence. Equally, it extends these benefits beyond elite sport, embedding wellness, movement, and social connection into the daily lives of the Dingley Village community.
