Construction at Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre continues to progress, with key milestones achieved across facade, pools, and structural works.

Exciting progress is taking shape at the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre, with construction now moving visibly forward on multiple fronts. Facade cladding is being installed across the facility, giving form and identity to the architecture. Tiling has commenced on the main pools, a major milestone that brings the aquatic spaces to life. Structural steel work is also nearing completion, setting the groundwork for the next phase of internal fit out. It is great to see this important community project advancing so strongly and getting closer to becoming a vibrant destination for health, wellness and connection.
Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre is a partnership project, with stage one being funded by the Australian Government, the Victorian Government and Surf Coast Shire Council. Stage two is being fully funded by the Victorian Government.
