2025: A Year of Growth, Milestones and Major Moments

This year brought major openings, construction milestones and meaningful progress across our projects, and we are proud to reflect on 2025.

As 2025 comes to a close, we are looking back on a year defined by progress across some of the most significant community, sport and infrastructure projects in Australia and beyond. From airports to aquatic centres and major sports precincts, this year has strengthened our relationships, broadened our impact and continued shaping the way communities experience the built environment.

A Major Step Forward in Tasmania

One of the most exciting moments of the year was the start of construction at the new Devonport Oval sports complex. This marks a significant investment for Tasmania and signals the beginning of a contemporary sport and recreation destination that will support community programs, local clubs and regional events for decades to come.

Celebrating the Industry and the Sporting Community

In September, we became a major sponsor of the Property Council Footy Lunch. The event brought together our industry, our partners and our wider sporting community for a day that reminds us how important these shared moments are in building strong professional and social networks.

A New Benchmark for Elite Sport- Hawthorn Football Club

The opening of the Kennedy Community Centre was a major highlight, delivering a precinct that brings elite performance, community participation and shared learning environments together in one place. The result is an industry leading training and high performance environment for Hawthorn Football Club, setting a new benchmark for how local and elite sport can successfully coexist.

Recognition for Design Excellence in Education

We were proud to see the Coonawarra Willam Aquatic Centre at Ivanhoe Grammar School receive recognition from Good Design Australia. The award reflects not only the quality of the design, but the way the centre supports wellbeing, learning outcomes and a strong sense of community within the school.

A Landmark Opening Across the Tasman

Across the Tasman, the Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre opened to the public. As one of the most significant indoor sport and aquatic facilities in the southern hemisphere, its completion represents a major milestone in community infrastructure and a significant contribution to Christchurch’s long term recovery and growth.

A Strong Year at Melbourne Airport

Our work at Melbourne Airport continued across all four terminals this year, supporting a broad program of upgrades throughout the precinct. This included progressing the next stages of the Terminal 3 redevelopment and completing new public and staff amenities in Terminals 2 and 4. Together, these improvements are helping create a more efficient and welcoming experience for the millions of travellers who move through the airport each year.

Progress in Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre

Exciting progress continues at the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre, with facade cladding now underway and giving form to the architecture. Tiling has commenced on the main pools, marking a major milestone for the aquatic spaces. With structural steel nearing completion, the project is moving confidently toward the next phase of internal fitout and its future as a vibrant community destination.

RiverQuay Rising on the Maribyrnong

Strong progress continues on site at the new 312 apartment precinct on the banks of the Maribyrnong River. RiverQuay will deliver a vibrant new community within Melbourne’s fastest growing corridor, marking an important new chapter in Footscray’s ongoing transformation.

Looking Ahead

This year has reinforced our belief in architecture that brings people together and strengthens communities. As we prepare for the year ahead, we remain focused on creating places that support wellbeing, adaptability and long term value. Thank you to our clients, partners and project teams for a year of collaboration and progress. We look forward to building on this momentum in 2026.
