Our team of professionals ranges from experienced registered architects with diverse, industry recognised expertise, through to enthusiastic graduates and students; reflecting our firm’s commitment to growing the next generation of designers. Each member of our team is carefully selected for their unique skills, potential, and ability to contribute to the environment in which we live and work. Furthermore we always strive to keep up to date with current trends and advancements and to continually develop our skills and knowledge base.

Peter Brook

Design Director

Peter Brook is a Director of Peddle Thorp in charge of Design, Town Planning and Urban Design. He has been responsible for the design and concept design of all projects undertaken by the firm, since joining the firm in 1983. As well as a Bachelor of Architecture from Melbourne University, Peter holds a Masters in Urban Design from Harvard University. Peter’s designs have helped cement Peddle Thorp’s reputation for strong, innovative yet achievable design. From our world renowned reputation for sports design excellence to multistorey residential and commercial towers, to educational institutions and smaller community centres.

Carlo Corallo

Director

Carlo Corallo is a Technical and Project Director responsible for the overall delivery of some of our most complex projects, with a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from Melbourne University. Together with his Italian heritage, Carlo’s passion for architecture ensures every attention to detail is observed, helping further strengthen our company’s industry acknowledged reputation for the technical superiority of our documentation and therefore the final end product. His project experience ranges from small residential developments, to complex hi-rise towers, to the specialist knowledge required for the documentation and delivery of our aquarium projects.

Martin Hall

Director

Martin Hall holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons), Bristol University, England, Master of Arts in Architecture, Royal College of Art, London, England and is a Member of the Royal Society of Designers. Martin is a Technical / Project Director, responsible for the documentation and delivery of a wide range and scale of work from the master planning of international educational campuses to multi-storey commercial towers and luxury residential projects with an emphasis on the Middle East. Over the last few years he has, together with our expat staff stationed in Qatar, been responsible for the design of a number of innovative, cutting edge projects in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Qatar.

Steve Tillinger

Associate Director

Steve Tillinger is a Senior Design Associate with the firm. Since joining us in 2007, working together with Peter Brook, Steve has been reponsible for the design and design development on a range of projects from the Bendigo Multi-storey Carpark, the proposed new Sale Police Station, to several residential projects including the award winning, Cosham House in Brighton. Steve holds a B. Arts [Architecture] and a B. Arch. [Hons], both from Deakin University and is a RAIA Member and ARBV Registered Architect.

Socrati Seretis

Associate Director

Socrati Seretis is a Senior Design Associate with the company and has recently returned from our Middle Eastern Office where he worked on some of our most innovative and inspired designs, from aquariums that are reminiscent of a beached whale on the shores of Doha, to theme parks precincts complete with planetariums, to multi-storey landmark office towers. It is this vision and experience that he has now brought back to Melbourne - adding a touch of whimsy to a number of the new designs currently taking place.

Brett Diprose

Associate Director

With a B. Arts in Architecture and a B. Arch (Hons) from Deakin University, Brett Diprose is an Associate - Documentation & Delivery of the Firm and part of our highly successful 'Sports' Team. Since joining us in 1998, Brett has been responsible for the documentation and delivery of such projects as Watermarc, the Greensborough Aquatic Centre, Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery Launceston, Whitten Oval Redevelopment for the Western Bulldogs Football Club and the Community Centre. He was also Project Architect on Linen House for St Kilda Football Club and the Stage 2 development of the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre.

Michael Somers

Associate Director

Michael Somers is a Senior Associate / Team Leader / Project Architect on a number of our most complex commercial projects. Michael joined the company in 2006 and has worked on a number of our landmark projects including the RACV City Club and expansion works, Scots Church Development and the ground breaking Oasis Hospital in Al Ain. Furthermore Michael was Team Leader on the proposed iconic QNB Tower in Doha, the world’s tallest skyscraper at the time of its design. He is a registered architect with the RAIA Victoria.

Pat Cutri

Associate Director

Pat Cutri heads our Retail Team and has extensive experience in Shopping Centre design and development. Prior to joining Peddle Thorp Architects, Pat had 13 years experience at Coles Myer, heading the Design Team, since then Pat and the Peddle Thorp Retail Team have delivered a wide range of retail projects, from fitout works at the Iconic Myer Bourke St store, to refurbishment of the Forest Hill Shopping Centre, to the development of retail concepts stores such as La Manna in Essendon Fields.

Garry Calderwood

Senior Associate

Garry Calderwood is a Senior Associate with the company and has been with us for 25 years, since joining in 1989. As a Senior Project Architect / Team Leader, Garry’s role involves the documentation, coordination and delivery of some of our largest and most complex projects such as Hewlett Packard and the Bosch Australia Headquarters. Garry has a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from the University of Auckland.

Anthony Radl

Associate

Since joining us in 2010 as a Project Architect, in this role, Anthony has been responsible for the delivery of a number of commercial and residential projects including 200 and 212 Victoria Streets, 313-333 Victoria Street Kew, and the Scots Church Redevelopment at 150 Collins Street. His qualifications include a B. Arch (Hons) and B. Arts in Architecture both from Deakin University, 1993-1998 and is a Registered Architect and Member of the RAIA in Victoria.

Robert Abajas

Associate

Robert Abajas is an Associate and a Senior Project Manager with the company. Rob joined us in 2001 and since then has established himself as one of our most expert and experienced Aquatic and Sports Centre team members. Rob’s expertise has helped see the successful delivery of a number of our most iconic and recognized sporting facilities including the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, the South Australian State Aquatic Centre and most recently the highly successful WaterMarc facility in Greensborough. Rob has continued his ‘education’ with a number of international trade conferences and seminars – ensuring we gain the knowledge necessary to maintain world’s best practice.

Robert Alessi

Architect

Rob Alessi is an Architect who has worked with Peddle Thorp since 2011. Rob is also a member of our 'sports team', assisting with the Design, Documentation and Contract Administration services of a number of our sports, stadium and leisure projects.

Elizabeth Kules

Administration Manager

Elizabeth Kules is the Administration Manager at Peddle Thorp working together with Elio Mirabelli and our Administration Team to ensure the successful day to day running of the company. Elizabeth, together with the Directors and Marketing Team, is responsible for the preparation and production of presentation and submission work and the marketing of the firm. She is also Chief Fire Warden for the building - so if you see her running... just try and keep up.

Elio Mirabelli

IT Manager

As well as being an architect himself, Elio Mirabelli is our IT Manager responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our office IT systems and servers. Elio also ensures that we remain abreast of the latest trends and advancements in software and technology and its application and introduction into our management systems.

Andrew Gordon

Project Architect

Andrew Gordon is a Project Architect with Peddle Thorp, responsible for a the delivery of a wide range and scale of projects. Andrew holds a Bachelors in Planning & Building and Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Melbourne. Projects worked on include the Harold Holt Memorial Swim Centre Redevelopment, Hawthorn Town Hall and Arts Precinct, as well as a number of Police Stations in Victoria and NSW including Northcote, Kilmore, Rowville, Wyong and Sale.

Andrew Nguyen

CAD Technican

Since joining us in 1993, in his role a CAD Documenter, Andrew has worked on such projects as the Qatar National Bank project, the RACV Club Melbourne, Al Jazira Soccer Stadium in Abu Dhabi and a number of the Delhi Games Venues for the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. Andrew has also worked on a number of commercial and residential projects as well as our first aquarium project, the Melbourne Aquarium.  Andrew holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Saigon University, Vietnam, Bachelor of Architecture, University of Western Australia, a Certificate of CAD (AutoCAD) and Certificate of CAD/CAM (Anvil 4000) (1987).

Charley Lee

Computer Modelling

Charley Lee is a computer modeller and animator with Peddle Thorp working with the design team to help bring our designs to 'life'. To achieve this Charley uses revit to model and lumion to animate flythrus and movies.

Lou Butrakoski

CAD Technican

Lou joined Peddle Thorp in 2007 as a CAD Documentor.  During his time with us, Lou has worked on a large number of projects including Melbourne Aquarium, The Dubai Mall Aquarium, Qatar National Bank Tower as well as the multi award winning RMIT Design Hub.  Lou holds a Associate Diploma in Architectural Drafting and an Advanced Diploma in Building Design both from NMIT.
 

May Chung

Project Architect

May Chung is a Project Architect with Peddle Thorp.  During her time with us she has worked on the documentation and delivery of a range of projects including commercial and residential.  Her project experience includes the Pinnacle Apartments in Doncaster, Penleigh and Essendon Grammar's Gymnasium and Arts Complex and the QNB's Dukhan Branch.  May holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Melbourne and is a Registered Architect in Victoria.

Damian Rough

Project Architect

Damian is a Project Architect with Peddle Thorp responsible for the day to day delivery of a number of our commercial projects including Forest Hill Shopping Centre, Stage 6, Yarra Ranges Council Offices, Scots Church and 615 St Kilda Road and currently on United Petroleum's Westgate station.

Jitendra Mishra

Group Accountant

Jitendra (Jit) is our Group Accountant, responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the Group Accountants for the companies. Jit also coordinates the department resources and processes. Jit is a qualified CPA Australia and Chartered Accountant (India). 

Slave Slavkoski

CAD Technican

Having joined us in 1999 from New Zealand, Slave Slavkoski is a Documenter in charge of coordinating and providing documentation of a number of major projects.  Slave's project experience includes 'Aquanation' Ringwood District Aquatic Centre, Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre, AFP House at Melbourne Airport and the Craigieburn Train Maintenance Facility.  Slave's qualifications include a Diploma of Architectural Technician, Civil Engineering School, Skopje, Macedonia as well as AutoCAD Intermediate Skills course, UNITEC Institute of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand.  He has also completed REVIT Training and REVIT Architecture Introduction Courses.

Joel Ciavarella

Architect

Joel Ciaverella is part of our Design Team, working to resolve the concept designs the team is responsible for.  Some of the projects Joel has worked on include the Supply Co. Richmond Lofts, Bent Street Apartments, Epping Hotel, and the 686 Doncaster Road Apartments.

Tony Matticoli

Senior Detailer

Tony Matticoli is a Documentation and Detail Coordinator with Peddle Thorp. Having joined us in 2007 Tony has worked on some of our largest and most technically complex projects including the QNB Tower in Doha Qatar, Oasis Hospital in Al Ain, RACV City Club Expansion and Royal Pines, Queensland, the Scots Church Precinct Development and the Guild Apartments in Sturt Street South Melbourne.

Callum Elliott

Design Team

Callum is a member of our energetic design team working on a range of projects from concept and feasibility studies through to town planning applications. Some recent projects include, 53 Mercer Street, 686 Doncaster Rd, 4 Neilson Place and Whitehorse Towers.

Mark Pascuzzi

Project Architect

Mark Pascuzzi has recently returned from three years in the Middle East heading the Oasis Hospital Team. As Project Architect, Mark has been responsible for the documentation and delivery of such projects as the Denton Mills Apartments in Abbotsford, Building 83 Refurbishment and Lam Manna Direct, both at Essendon Fields and of course the Oasis Hospital in Al Ain. Mark joined Peddle Thorp in 2006 and has a Bachelor of Architecture from Deakin University and is a ARBV Registered Architect.

Dai Phung

CAD Technican

Having graduated in 2000, Dai has worked for a range of Architects and Builders prior joining Peddle Thorp in 2007. Since then, Dai has been involved in a number of large projects – both nationally and internationally. Well verse in construction techniques from structural components to the fine details of joinery and cabinetry, Dai is an invaluable member of our documentation team. With project experience in multi residential, high rise and ‘warehouse’ commercial, schools, aged care, hospitality and retail design, his project portfolio is diverse and wide ranging.

Dai is a passionate Hawks supporter, loves watching sports, fishing and bike riding and is fluent in both Vietnamese and English.

Melissa Malik

Documentation Team

Since joining Peddle Thorp in early 2014 as part of our documentation team, Melissa Malik has been involved with the delivery and documentation of a range of projects. These include residential developments at Hopkins Street and Mosaic Apartments and commercial projects at Essendon Fields and United Petroleum. Melissa has also assisted the sports team with Bendigo Stadium and Hume Aquatic projects and completed her Architects Registration in 2015.

Sarah Crozier

Architect

Sarah Crozier is an architect working on such projects as Oasis Hospital, Scots Church development and the Cairns Aquarium. Sarah has a M.Arch from Princeton University USA, and a B.Arch (First Hons) and B. BSC, both from Victoria University Wellington NZ. Sarah is also a Registered Architect in Victoria.

James Kladouris

Architectural Graduate

James Kladouris is an Architectural Graduate at Peddle Thorp, working as part of the 3D modelling, concept and design development team, working on a range of projects from sports and aquatic centres to multi-storey towers, including aquariums.

Esad Dautovic

Project Leader

Esad is an accomplished senior Project Leader who holds a Diploma in Design and Drafting and has joined our specialist Aquarium and Educational team. With focus on project delivery, he brings a broad range of experience from many project types across all project stages. With his expertise in documentation and co-ordination, Esad plays a key role in Client and Consultant interface. Esad is currently working on the Cairns Aquarium QLD, Grandview Mall Aquarium PRC, and St John’s College VIC.

Giuliana Corallo

Architect

Having recently joined Peddle Thorp as part of the Design Team, Giuliana now works with the retail and commercial teams. Recent projects include Scots Church Development, Hopkins Street Development and the Montague Street Residential Development. Giuliana holds a B. Arch Design and M. Arch, both from Monash University. Giuliana also has excellent taste in shoes.

Eloisa Mazza

Interior Designer

Originally from Sicily, Eloisa holds a M. Arch from the University of Architecture in Florence. She now works at Peddle Thorp as part of the architectural and interior design teams, on a range of projects including sports, commercial and residential. Her ideas and concepts are born with a stroke of her pencil and bring a touch of European flair to our projects.

Melanie Bromley

Senior Interior Designer

Melanie Bromley is a Senior Interior Designer with the company and part of our in-house 'Design Team', working on interior concepts for a range of projects from commercial offices to residential towers. Whilst new to the company, Melanie brings a design flair and enthusiasm to the project that can only be an asset.

Nancy Iosifidis

Design Team

Nancy Iosifidis is an Architectural Graduate and is an integral member of our Design Team. With flair and attention to detail Nancy helps to turn unique design concepts into reality through 3D modelling and visual illustrations. 
Nancy possesses an acute understanding of architectural aesthetic, environment and community. Nancy’s strengths lie in conceptual development and creative problem solving. Her experience ranges from sporting stadiums through to residential developments.

Georges Chedid

Architect

Georges has been part of the Peddle Thorp Group since joining us in 2008 and has recently returned from the U.A.E after assisting with the completion of the ground breaking, Oasis Hospital Project in Al Ain. Georges has extensive experience in Healthcare Design & Planning including Space Utilization, Master Planning, Phasing, Brief Development and Contract Management ensuring production of documentation conforming to local and international standards and codes. His experience also extends to designing medium rise residential developments, maximum security correction facilities, retirement villages, ambulance and police infrastructure projects - both in Australia and the Middle East. Personally, Georges is passionate about Science, Medicine, Technology, Architecture, Fluid Mechanics & Photography and is fluent in three languages: English, French & Arabic.

Ainslie Unsworth

Project Architect

Having graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Arts (Arch) & Bachelor of Architecture (Hons.) Ainslie has more than ten years experience with Peddle Thorp in documentation and contract/site administration. 

As Project Architect, Ainslie’s has worked on a range of residential projects including the MOPO Apartments in Moonee Ponds and Insignia Apartments, Ivanhoe. She has also been involved in successfully delivering past commercial projects at 15 William Street, Melbourne and the Herald & Weekly Times in Exhibition St. Ainslie has also been a Registered Architect for 16 years. Ainslie recently re-joined us after taking time off to have her family and now works with us four days a week – balancing this busy professional role with raising a young family.

Thomaista Scimia

Administrative Assistant

Thomaista Scimia is an Administrative Assistant as well as Purchasing Officer for the Group. As a long serving employee, she provides administration support across the board, reception relief and assisting accounts when necessary, together with a variety of tasks to help the smooth running of the office. With her role as Communications Officer, she also provides assistance to the Chief Fire Warden for the building during fire evacuation drills.

Thuy Hua

Administrative Assistant

Having joined us in 2004 in as an 'entry level' administrative assistant, Thuy has grown into her position with the firm as an Administrative / Accounts Assistant helping to ensure that things run smoothly. Thuy also provides Reception and support services as required to the Group.

Rick Liu

Urban Planner

Having joined Peddle Thorp in 2015, Rick holds a Masters in Urban Planning and a Bachelor in Architecture. Rick’s role with the firm is mainly focused on urban planning consulting and handling planning permit applications. He also works on the concept design and documentation of a range of architectural projects. With an aim to both improving and cementing his excellence as an urban designer, Rick merges his experience and knowledge in both fields (urban planning and architecture), to create unique design pieces in our ever evolving urban environments. Apart from the above, being fluent in Chinese, Rick assists in helping us better communicate with our international clients. Rick is passionate about high-tech gadgets, surfing, music and baking – and hopes to one day be on MasterChef.

Les Grigoriou

CAD & BIM Technican

Les Grigoriou holds a Diploma in Building Design and Technology and has worked at Peddle Thorp since 2005 as a CAD Draftsperson. During his time with the company Les has worked on a range and wide scale of projects from residential to retail and sports and commercial. Projects include Aireys Inlet Apartments, Great Ocean Road, Melbourne Airport Carpark Stage 3, Siri Fort Indoor Sports Centre and Yamuna Indoor Arena, both of which were undertaken for the Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010.
 

Neil Bellew

Project Leader

Neil Bellew initially joined the Peddle Thorp team as part of HSPC Health Architects, working on a number of ‘health projects’ such as Hurstville Private Hospital, Brunswick Private, Hospital Brisbane Private Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital. Since moving ‘downstairs’ to Peddle Thorp, Neil, in the role of Project Leader, has been responsible for the documentation and delivery of such projects the Riverina Apartments in Footscray, and two townhouse developments in Oriel Road Ivanhoe. Neil joined the Peddle Thorp Group in 2007 and has a Diploma in Architecture.

Valeria Corallo

Architectural Graduate

Valeria recently joined our ‘documentation’ team, full time after assisting with town planning during her studies. She is passionate about sports & nutrition, but most of all about architecture - making things work and having a positive effect on Melbourne and other beautiful cities. She is currently working on a number of residential and commercial projects including Francis Street Apartments and the redevelopment of Reid House.

Stephen Kaukov

Architect

Stephen Kaukov is a Registered Architect working with our sports team on such projects as the Eureka Stadium Development in Ballarat and the Port Pirie Sports complex in South Australia. His skill lies in his attention to detail and quality of design development and documentation, making him an invaluable part of the team.
